The need for winter clothing will be more urgent than ever this year. Right now, we are seeing extensive lines at food pantries around the country as our neighbors’ experience job furloughs, unemployment, and food insecurity. With increasing utility costs the winter months will be even more challenging for those with strapped budgets. In a short time, many Americans will need food, warm clothes and shelter. With unprecedented high unemployment rates, and homelessness created by Covid-19, the looming cold of winter will have especially dangerous consequences for thousands of families. In every area of our country people are struggling. and if we wait until the air turns chilly to address this crisis, it may be too late to help.
Thankfully, there are steps we can all take right now to help protect the lives of our most vulnerable – and ensure that those who are struggling financially are prepared for winter.
We thank you in advance for your donations and support.
